The following instructions outline important considerations for each area type

Mowing Areas

  • To ensure accuracy and safety during map creation and management, always use Bluetooth connectivity. Operators should remain within 6 meters of the machine throughout the process.

  • Maintain a distance along edges:

--If the height difference inside and outside your lawn's boundary is less than 1 cm, it's recommended to slightly extend the mower beyond the lawn boundary to draw the boundary line accurately. This ensures complete trimming of the lawn edges.

--If there are obstacles outside your lawn boundary, such as walls or fences significantly higher than the lawn, keep the mower at least 5 cm away from the lawn boundary line to reduce the risk of collision damage during turns.

--For lawns with significant height differences or overhanging areas, keep the mower at least 10 cm away from the lawn boundary line to prevent the mower from tipping over.

  • When marking mowing areas, ensure the width of the mowing area is greater than 1.5 meters. Lawns narrower than 1.5 meters are not suitable for mowing areas as they might impede the smooth operation of the mower.

  • During drawing, use the smartphone to remotely control the machine for mapping. Avoid manually moving the machine as it may affect mapping accuracy. The minimum area required for a lawn is 1 square meter.

No-Go Zones:

  • It's recommended to prioritize creating no-go zones before creating pathways and return paths.

  • Position no-go zones at a distance from pathways or return paths to avoid obstructing the mower's passage. If obstacles cannot be removed and are too close to pathways or return paths, consider redesigning the return path or pathway.

  • If you later remove fixed obstacles on the lawn and no longer need a no-go zone, you can delete it in the app.

  • When drawing no-go zones around obstacles, maintain a distance of at least 5 cm from the obstacle.

  • If the distance between two fixed obstacles is less than 1 meter, consider including both obstacles in the same no-go zone.

  • There is no limit to the size of the no-go zone that can be created.

Pathways:

  • Choose pathways that allow the mower to pass smoothly. When establishing pathways, ensure the mower travels along the centerline to avoid deviation during subsequent passes.

  • Select flat, dry ground for pathways. The mower can smoothly maneuver and turn in pathways with a minimum width of 77 cm and no obstacles. If there are height differences greater than 3 cm along the entire path, consider selecting an alternative pathway to prevent the mower from getting stuck.

  • The starting points of pathways must be within or on the boundary of two mowing areas.

Return Paths:

  • When drawing return paths, it's advisable to start from the nearest boundary point of the mowing area to the charging station, which helps improve the efficiency of the mower's return to the station.

  • Choose flat, dry ground for return paths. The mower can smoothly enter and exit the charging station on return paths with a minimum width of 77 cm and no obstacles.

  • If the position of the charging station is changed by more than 20 cm, a new return path must be drawn for the new location.

  • Ensure that the position of no-go zones is at a distance from pathways or return paths to avoid obstructing the mower's passage.

  • When drawing return paths, aim to ensure that the mower enters the station from a position 1 meter directly in front of it.

These guidelines will assist you in effectively creating and managing maps for the Neomow X smart mower.
