When using the Neomow X mower, you have the option to connect to the network via 4G or WiFi. Here are specific instructions for each type of connection:

Neomow X Connectivity Options: 4G and WiFi Setup and Usage

4G Connection

  • The Neomow X is equipped with a built-in 4G SIM card. If you haven't set up WiFi connection information, the mower will default to using the 4G connection. You can check the 4G signal status of the mower in the app.

  • To use the 4G connection, ensure there is good 4G signal coverage in the device area to enable normal internet functionality.

WiFi Connection

  • If you prefer the Neomow X to use your home WiFi network for internet access, you can set up the WiFi name and password in the Neomow X app.

  • Once set up, the mower will use your configured WiFi connection by default for internet access.

Internet Connectivity

To ensure smooth operation and optimal performance, it is important that both your device and smartphone are connected to the internet in the following scenarios:

1.  During Initial Device Setup:

When adding the device for the first time, please ensure that your smartphone is connected to the internet. This is essential for completing the initial setup process successfully.

2.  When Connecting the Device:

Both the device and your smartphone must have an active internet connection during the connection process. This ensures that the device can communicate properly with the app and establish a stable connection.

3.  During Map Creation:

From the moment you start creating a map until the app confirms that the map has been successfully created, both the device and your smartphone need to remain connected to the internet. This is crucial because the device needs to upload the map to our cloud servers. This allows the device to access and use the map in the future, ensuring precise and efficient operation.

4.  When Issuing Mowing Commands:

Before you begin issuing mowing tasks, make sure that both your smartphone and the device are connected to the internet. A stable connection is necessary to send commands and ensure that the device follows the instructions correctly.

5.  For Device Firmware Upgrades:

If we release a new firmware version for your device, you will need to connect the device to the internet in order to perform the upgrade. Please be mindful of this requirement to keep your device up to date with the latest improvements and features.

Important Notes

  • If your free 4G data has expired and your home WiFi signal is weak, you can use a strong network connection to pre-connect the device and set up the mowing schedule and parameters in advance. Once configured, the device will operate according to the set schedule, even without an active internet connection.

  • To modify the mowing parameters of your device, both the device itself and your smartphone must be connected to the internet. It is essential to ensure that you have a stable and reliable network connection during this process. This will not only help in making adjustments smoothly but also ensure that any updates you apply are executed successfully without any interruptions.

  • When initially adding the device to the app, ensure the device is connected to the network to complete registration and subsequent operations successfully.

  • If opting for WiFi connection, ensure the WiFi signal is stable and the configured WiFi information is correct to enable the mower to connect reliably for updates, remote control, and other operations.

By selecting the appropriate network connection method, you can provide stable internet access to the Neomow X based on your needs, enabling various remote control and monitoring functions effectively.
