My lawn mower won't start up.

It's possible that the low battery is causing this issue. Please place the lawn mower on the charging station to recharge it fully. Once it's fully charged, try restarting it again.

I can't bind this lawn mower

If you are not an administrator or if the administrator has not shared usage permissions with you, you will not be able to bind the device. Please contact the administrator to grant you usage permissions.

Can't connect to WiFi.

Possible reasons:

1. The lawn mower is too far away from the router.

2. The lawn mower's WiFi frequency band does not match the frequency band used by the router.

We recommend trying the following:

1. Place the lawn mower closer to the router.

2. Check the supported WiFi frequency band of the lawn mower and adjust the router's frequency band to match.

Can't connect to the lawn mower

Possible Causes:

A Weak WiFi signal may lead to connection failure.

Recommended Solutions:

  • Switch to 4G Connectivity:

    Neomow X is equipped with a built-in 4G card. Disable WiFi settings; the device will automatically switch to 4G.

  • Improve WiFi Signal:

    Move the device closer to the home router to strengthen the WiFi signal.

  • Use Mobile Hotspot:

    Configure WiFi using a mobile hotspot to ensure connectivity.

Note: Please make sure the lawn mower is powered on when trying to connect.

4G network is experiencing issues

Possible reasons:

1. Poor 4G network signal at the lawn mower's location.

2. Insufficient data plan balance on the 4G SIM card.

We suggest the following steps:

1. Place the lawn mower in an area with a strong 4G network signal.

2. Contact Hookii Customer Service to recharge the data plan.

Why can't I enter mapping mode?

Possible reasons:

1. The mapping mode cannot be entered when the machine is in the following states: Upgrade, Abnormal, Paused, Returning to Dock, or Working.

We recommend trying:

1. Ensure the robot is not in any of the above states before attempting mapping.

2. Check if your phone's Bluetooth is turned on. If it's on but the app still can't find the Bluetooth, there might be an issue with the robot's Bluetooth module. Try restarting it.

3. Place the robot back on the charging dock to re-establish its location before attempting to enter mapping mode again.

Bluetooth disconnected during the map drawing process.

Possible reasons:

1. During the mapping process, the distance between the phone and the robot is too far.

2. Large or high obstacles with significant gaps are present during the mapping process.

We suggest trying:

1. Ensure that during the mapping process, the distance between the phone and the robot does not exceed 6 meters.

2. While mapping, avoid situations where either the phone or the robot is too close to large obstacles such as big trees, tall walls, or buildings, as this can cause Bluetooth disconnection.

The app cannot control the lawn mower during mapping

Possible reasons:

1. The distance from the lawn mower is too far, causing unstable Bluetooth signals.

2. Large or high obstacles are creating significant gaps during the mapping process.

We suggest trying:

1. Stay close to the lawn mower, ideally within 6 meters, to maintain a stable Bluetooth connection.

During the mapping process, it is advisable to avoid situations where either the phone or the lawn mower is in close proximity to large obstacles like big trees, tall walls, or buildings, as this proximity can lead to Bluetooth disconnection.

The lawn mower isn't charging on the charging station or it's shutting down automatically.

Possible reasons:

1. The charging dock is not properly connected to the power source.

2. There are stains or dirt at the charging port where the lawn mower connects to the docking station, causing poor contact.

3. The battery temperature is either too high or too low, triggering battery protection.

4. The battery is over-discharged.

We recommend trying the following:

1. Ensure the charging dock is plugged into a power source.

2. Check the charging port for any dirt or stains and clean it.

3. Once the lawn mower's temperature returns to normal, attempt charging it again.

4. Contact Hookii Customer Service for assistance if the issue persists.

The lawn mower shows obstacles when entering or exiting the charging station.

Possible reasons:

1. Improper deployment or establishment of the return-to-dock path for the charging station.

2. Obstacles on or along the return-to-dock path.

3. The emergency stop button was pressed, preventing the lawn mower from automatically returning to the dock.

4. Someone is standing in front of the charging station while the lawn mower is trying to dock.

5. Loss of positioning by the lawn mower.

We suggest trying the following:

1. Ensure that the charging station deployment meets specifications, including having 0.5 meters of clear space on each side and 2 meters of unobstructed space in front of the station. The minimum width of the return-to-dock path should be 77 cm. If it is not compliant, adjust the path and charging station deployment.

2. Check for and remove any obstacles near the charging station and return-to-dock path.

3. Release the emergency stop status.

4. During the docking process, ensure that there are no obstacles or people blocking the path in front of the charging station.

5. Move the lawn mower back to the charging station to re-establish its position.

The lawn mower can't return to the charging station properly.

Possible reasons:

1. The emergency stop button has been pressed, preventing the lawn mower from automatically returning to the docking station.

2. There are obstacles along the return-to-dock path.

3. There are obstacles near the charging station.

4. The lawn mower has lost its position.

We recommend trying the following:

1. Release the emergency stop status.

2. Clear any obstacles from the return-to-dock path.

3. Remove any obstructions covering, blocking, or surrounding the charging station.

4. Move the lawn mower back to the charging station to re-establish its position.

Lawn Mower Fails to Dock or Start Mowing Correctly

Issue:

The lawn mower cannot align with the docking station, or after undocking, it fails to enter the mowing area and start mowing.

Possible Causes:

The charging station has been significantly relocated after the mapping was completed. Water droplets or dirt are present on the radar sensors.

Recommended Solutions:

  • Avoid Moving the Charging Station:

After completing the mapping process, do not move the charging station. If relocation is necessary, you must remap the area.

  • Check and Clean the Radar Sensors:

Inspect the radar sensors for water droplets or visible dirt. Clean them promptly to ensure proper functionality.

Lawn Mower Does Not Automatically Start Mowing

It will only go out to mow the lawn mower automatically if a mowing plan is set. Please check whether you have set a plan. If you have, please contact Hookii Customer Service.

The lawn mower isn't following the scheduled task times.

Possible Cause:

The lawn mower will only automatically start mowing if a mowing schedule has been set.

Recommended Solution:

Check the Mowing Schedule: Ensure that you have set a mowing schedule. If a schedule has been set and the issue persists, please contact Hookii Customer Service.

The lawn is not cut evenly

Possible Causes:

Grass is too tall or dense. Blades are dull, or the cutting deck or blades are obstructed.

Solutions:

  • Adjust Cutting Height: Start high, then gradually lower it to the desired level.

  • Replace Blades: Install new blades if they are dull.

  • Clean Cutting Deck: Remove any obstructions to ensure proper blade rotation.

Certain areas of the lawn are not being mowed

Possible Causes:

Obstacles in the area are hindering the lawn mower from cutting certain sections. The mower returned to the charging station due to an issue encountered while mowing that area.

Solutions:

  • Remove Obstacles: The lawn mower usually goes back to areas to complete mowing, but it cannot do so if obstacles are still present. Clear away any obstacles to guarantee complete coverage.

  • Check the App: Use the app to identify the issue and restart a new mowing task if necessary.

The lawn mower detects obstacles while navigating between areas.

Possible Causes:

The lawn mower detects obstacles in its path. The pathway setup does not meet the specifications.

Solutions:

  • Check for Obstacles: Inspect the area near the charging station and along the return path for obstacles. Remove any obstructions.

  • Ensure Proper Pathway Setup: The pathway should have a minimum width of 77cm. If it does not meet this requirement, consider adjusting the pathway location. Avoid positioning pathways too close to walls for optimal operation.

The lawn mower exhibits irregular movement patterns in specific areas

Possible Cause:

The area may contain obstacles, causing the lawn mower to adjust its movement to navigate around them.

Solution:

The lawn mower automatically adjusts its movement mode to navigate around obstacles and will return to normal operation once clear.

Abnormal Noise During Mowing

Possible Causes:

Dull blades causing increased cutting noise. Damage to the cutting deck.

Solutions:

  • Replace the Blades: Install new blades to reduce cutting noise caused by dullness.

  • Inspect the Cutting Deck: If the cutting deck is damaged, contact a professional to inspect and replace it if necessary.

Lawn Mower Is Stuck

Possible Causes:

Wheels are obstructed by long grass or mud, preventing movement. Deep holes or depressions in the lawn causing the wheels to get stuck. Poor ground conditions such as soft mud in the trapped area.

Solutions:

  • Check and Clear Wheels: Inspect the lawn mower's wheels and remove any debris or obstruction.

  • Fill Lawn Depressions: Fill any deep holes or depressions in the lawn to maintain a smooth surface.

  • Avoid Problem Areas: Designate such problematic areas as no-go zones to prevent the lawn mower from getting stuck in the future.

The lawn mower exhibits irregular movement patterns and fails to avoid obstacles at night

During nighttime operations, ensure the visual obstacle avoidance feature is turned off to prevent potential errors in visual recognition that could affect the lawn mower's performance.

Lawn Mower Does Not Mow or Blades Stop Spinning During Mowing

The lawn mower does not mow before reaching the mowing area or while on pathways or return paths. Apart from these scenarios, other reasons why the lawn mower may not mow or the blades may stop spinning include: Overcurrent protection in the mowing motor. Triggering of protective mechanisms (e.g., lifting, tilting, etc.).

Recommended Actions:

  • Adjusting Mowing Height: Increase the mowing height or use alternative mowing tools to trim the lawn to below 10 cm.

  • Check Equipment Alarms: Check the equipment for any alarms or warnings and follow operational guidance to resolve them.

Lawn Mower Stuck in Place with Audible Alarm

Check the specific alarm information on the app and follow the instructions to attempt resolving the alarm yourself. If the issue persists, please contact the HOOKII after-sales service team for further assistance.

The lawn mower's battery life has decreased

Various factors affect battery life, including your lawn environment and different mowing modes. Long or dense grass, steep slopes, frequent use of high-power mowing modes, and battery aging can all contribute to faster battery depletion. We recommend regular battery replacement to maintain optimal performance.
