Neomow X is equipped with multiple obstacle avoidance systems to ensure safe and efficient mowing. These systems work together to detect and avoid obstacles of various sizes and types, minimizing the risk of collisions and damage.
1. LiDAR Obstacle Detection
Neomow X features a LiDAR sensor that can detect obstacles with a height of 10–25 cm.
This allows the mower to recognize and avoid medium-height obstacles in its path automatically.
2. Vision Sensor Obstacle Detection
Neomow X also includes vision sensors, consisting of cameras and infrared sensors, to capture and analyze the surrounding environment.
It can detect obstacles lower than 10 cm.
It can also identify obstacles that contrast with the lawn color, improving overall obstacle avoidance efficiency.
3. Bumper Protection
The front bumper serves as a physical protection mechanism.
It protects the mower from damage when it comes into contact with obstacles.
While the bumper does not prevent collisions entirely, it minimizes potential impact to the machine.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I adjust the obstacle avoidance sensitivity?
A: Not currently. However, you can adjust the obstacle height setting in the mowing mode. For guidance, please refer to Obstacle Avoidance Height Setting.
Q: Can I turn the LiDAR obstacle avoidance on or off?
A: LiDAR obstacle avoidance is enabled by default and cannot be turned off in the app. As long as the LiDAR sensor is not covered, this system will continuously detect obstacles.
Q: Can I enable or disable vision sensor obstacle avoidance?
A: Yes. For instructions on how to enable or disable the vision sensors, please refer to How Visual Obstacle Avoidance Works.
