If your Neomow mower displays a "Cutting Disc Stuck" warning, it may be caused by debris blocking the cutting disc, contact with hard objects, an unsuitable cutting height, or a cutting motor issue.
- "Mower blade disc gets stuck" message appears during operation.
- Blade motor stops with "The mower triggered an overtemperature protection event for blade disc motor" warning.
Follow the steps below to identify and resolve the problem.
1. Check for Debris Under the Cutting Disc
- Turn off the mower and disconnect the power.
- Carefully turn the mower on its side to access the underside.
- Check whether any stones, branches, grass, or other debris are stuck around or underneath the cutting disc.
- Remove any debris you find and check whether the cutting disc can rotate freely.
2. Check Whether the Cutting Disc Has Hit a Hard Object
Think about whether the mower may have hit any hard objects, such as stones, while mowing.
An impact with a hard object may trigger the hardware protection mechanism, causing the mower to shut down the cutting system.
Remove any obstacles from the mowing area before restarting the mower.
3. Increase the Cutting Height
Set the cutting height to 85 mm and try running the mower again.
- If the warning no longer appears, the original cutting height may have been too low, causing excessive current draw and triggering overcurrent protection.
- In this case, we recommend starting at 50 mm and gradually lowering the cutting height until you find a suitable setting for your lawn conditions.
4. Test the Cutting Disc in Manual Mode
If the warning persists after the checks above, perform the following test:
- Open the HOOKII App and switch to Manual Mode.
- Run the cutting disc separately without activating the drive wheels.
- Observe whether the cutting disc continues running normally.
If the mower shuts down after running for a while during this test, the cutting motor may be faulty and may need to be replaced.
