Neomow X uses a network connection (Wi-Fi or 4G) mainly for setup, configuration, updates, and remote support.
Once all setup steps are completed, the mower can perform daily mowing tasks without a network connection.
This guide explains:
When a network connection is needed
Wi-Fi vs 4G usage
What happens if 4G is not available
When Is a Network Connection Required?
A Wi-Fi or 4G connection is needed in the following situations:
Initial Setup and App Pairing: To add the mower to the app and establish communication.
Creating or Editing Lawn Maps: To define mowing areas, No-Go Zones, passages, and the recharge path.
Adjusting Mowing Settings: To set or change cutting height, mowing angle, modes, or other preferences.
Firmware Updates: To download and install the latest firmware for new features and improvements.
Error Alerts and Remote Support: If the mower triggers an alarm or error, a network connection is required for remote troubleshooting and support.
Does Neomow X Need a Network for Daily Mowing?
No.
After the map is created, mowing schedules are set, and all parameters are configured, the mower can automatically mow the lawn without Wi-Fi or 4G.
Network connections are mainly for setup, management, and remote support, not for performing mowing.
Wi-Fi or 4G — Which Should I Use?
Wi-Fi:
If your Wi-Fi signal is stable and covers the entire mowing area, it is sufficient. 4G is optional.
All setup, map editing, settings adjustments, firmware updates, and remote support can be done via Wi-Fi.4G:
If Wi-Fi coverage is limited or unstable (for example, in large lawns), 4G ensures a reliable connection during setup, mapping, updates, and troubleshooting.
What If I Don’t Have 4G?
Even without 4G, the mower can still perform scheduled mowing.
However, network-dependent tasks—like map creation, parameter adjustments, firmware updates, or remote troubleshooting—may only be possible in areas with strong Wi-Fi.
For large lawns or partial Wi-Fi coverage, using 4G is recommended to ensure smooth setup and support.
