Troubleshooting: Left/Right Motor Error or Overtemperature Protection

If your mower displays an alert such as “Left Motor Error,” “Right Motor Error,” “Left Motor Overtemperature Protection,” or “Right Motor Overtemperature Protection,” please perform the following check and send us the results.

Please record a short video while performing the check and send it to our support team (support@hookii.com) for further assessment.

Check the Drive Wheels

Turn off the mower before performing the inspection.

1. Check whether there is any grass, dirt, or foreign object stuck around the left or right drive wheel.

2. Then, manually rotate the left and right drive wheels (the two powered wheels, not the caster wheel) and check whether:

• Both wheels rotate smoothly.
• There is any unusual resistance.
• One wheel is significantly harder to rotate than the other.
• Either wheel is difficult or unable to rotate.

If one wheel has significantly greater resistance than the other, is difficult to rotate, or cannot be rotated, the drive motor may be damaged and may need to be replaced.

After receiving the inspection results and video, our technical team will further assess the issue and determine the appropriate solution.
