To ensure the safety and reliability of the drive wheels, it is recommended to check the tightness of the hub nuts at least once every 2 months. Loose nuts may cause the drive wheel to fall off, affecting normal operation and safety.
Steps for Disassembly and Inspection:
Remove the Hub Cover
On the side of the drive wheel, there are 4 clips (as shown in the picture). Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the hub cover at the clip positions.Check the Tightness of the Hub Nut
Inspect if the hub nut is loose. If it is loose, remove the hub nut for further treatment. If not loose, simply put the hub cover back on.Clean and Apply Threadlocker
Clean the threads with a dry cloth or tissue to remove dust and grease. Then apply an appropriate amount of threadlocker.
Recommended threadlocker model: LOCTITE 243 or similar products.Tighten the Hub Nut and Reinstall the Hub Cover
After applying threadlocker, tighten the hub nut securely, then put the hub cover back on.
Regular inspection and maintenance can effectively prevent the risk of drive wheel detachment, ensuring safe and stable operation of the device.
