Before storing your robotic lawn mower for an extended period, we recommend following the steps below to properly prepare and maintain the mower.

Clean the Mower

Before storage, turn off the mower and remove any grass clippings, dirt, and other debris from the mower.

Pay special attention to cleaning:

• Chassis and cutting deck
• Wheels
• LiDAR, camera, and rain sensor
• Charging contacts

Do not use a high-pressure washer to clean the mower or charging station. Do not use corrosive or volatile solvents such as alcohol, gasoline, or acetone to clean the mower.

Check the Blades and Mower

Check the blades, cutting deck, and wheels for any visible wear or damage. If the blades are worn or damaged, replace them before using the mower again.

Store the Mower Properly

Before long-term storage:

• Charge the mower to around 50%, but do not charge it to 100%;
• Turn off the mower;
• Disconnect the charging station from the power supply;
• Store the mower, charging station, and power adapter in a dry and sheltered environment;
• Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, moisture, rain, and snow;
• Store the mower in a horizontal position.

We recommend storing the robotic lawn mower indoors in a dry environment at a suitable temperature. The storage temperature should be between -20°C and 45°C (-4°F and 113°F). Do not store the mower outside this temperature range. HOOKII recommends a storage temperature of around 25°C (77°F).

Maintain the Battery During Winter

If the mower will remain unused for an extended period, charge it at least once every 6 months, charging it to around 50% each time. Do not charge the battery to 100% and leave it fully charged for long-term storage, as the battery should not remain at either a very low or fully charged level for an extended period.

If you notice that the battery is swollen, leaking, unusually hot, or producing an unusual odor, stop using the mower immediately and contact HOOKII Support at support@hookii.com.

Before Using the Mower Again in Spring

Before using the mower again:

• Check the mower, blades, wheels, camera, LiDAR, and rain sensor;
• Clean the mower and charging contacts;
• Connect the charging station and fully charge the mower;
• Check the map, mowing schedules, and other settings in the app;
• Run a test mowing task to confirm that the mower can mow and return to the charging station normally.
