Neomow X2 Series - How to Clean and Maintain the Charging Station

Regular cleaning of the charging contacts helps maintain a stable electrical connection and ensures reliable charging performance. We recommend cleaning the charging station and the mower's charging contacts at least once every two weeks. More frequent cleaning may be necessary if the contacts become dirty or exposed to moisture and outdoor debris.

Follow the steps below to keep the metal contact surfaces clean and in good condition.

Step 1: Disconnect the Power

Before cleaning, disconnect the mower and the charging station from their power sources to ensure safe operation.

Step 2: Inspect and Clean the Charging Contacts

Check the metal charging contacts on both the charging station and the mower. Whether there is any grass debris inside the robot's charging port and clean it promptly if necessary.

• If the contacts are dirty but show no signs of corrosion or oxidation: Use a soft, dry cloth to gently remove dirt and debris. Ensure the metal surfaces are clean.
• If you notice black spots, rust, corrosion, or oxidation that cannot be removed by wiping: Proceed to Step 3.

Step 3: Remove Corrosion or Oxidation (If Necessary)

If the charging contacts show signs of corrosion or oxidation, follow these steps to clean the affected surfaces:

1. Use 1000-grit sandpaper for fine polishing.
2. Gently wipe the contacts with a soft, dry cloth to remove any remaining residue.

Avoid excessive sanding, as this may damage the contact surfaces.

Step 4: Check Before Reconnecting Power

Ensure the charging contacts are clean and completely dry before reconnecting the power supply and using the mower.

How to Confirm the Cleaning Is Complete

The cleaning is complete when all of the following conditions are met:

• There are no black spots or residue left on the charging contacts.
• There are no visible signs of oxidation or corrosion.
• Both the charging station contacts and the contacts on the rear of the mower are clean, bright metal surfaces.
