Poor scheduling design
Scheduling operations by length of time window instead of triggering return to base by task completion, rain or battery charge state is a REALLY BAD software design choice. In actual use, maximum battery life is achieved through limiting discharge to 50%. Going down to 20% is guaranteed to significantly reduce battery lifespan. The sensible choice employed by my 3 previous Robomowers is to set a window of operating time during which the mower is allowed to operate. It can then operate until a user-set 50% discharge level is reached, the task is completed, or rain sends it home. It can then recharge itself and return to complete any unfinished task the same day instead of waiting until the next scheduled day to go out as it would if the operating window is limited to the average time to complete a single mowing task.
