Symptoms
- "Mower blade disc gets stuck" message appears during operation.
- Blade motor stops with "The mower triggered an overtemperature protection event for blade disc motor" warning.
Cause
With firmware version V1.5.4, the cutting height calibration has been optimized to more accurately reflect real mowing height. As a result, if the cutting height is set too low, the mower may:
- Cut grass too short, which can stress the lawn
- Encounter thick or wet grass more easily, leading to blade blockage
- Experience excessive load, causing the blade motor to overheat
Recommended Solution
✅ Step 1: Set a Higher Mowing Height
Set the blade height to at least 50 mm (2.0 inches) during initial use or when grass is long.
Avoid starting with low height settings, especially after firmware upgrades.
🔽 Step 2: Gradually Reduce Height
After several mowing cycles you may reduce the blade height gradually toward your desired setting.
🚫 Avoid:
- Mowing damp, wet, or very tall grass with a low height setting
- Using the mower early in the morning or right after rain, when clippings are more likely to stick and cause blockage
Still Having Issues?
Inspect the blade area for clogged grass, debris, or tangled material, and clean it thoroughly
Check that the blades are sharp and undamaged
